GOODBYE WINTER , HELLO SPRING

Transitioning your skincare routine from winter to spring is essential.

As the weather gets warmer, it’s a good time to re-evaluate your skincare routine and possibly switch up some of your heavier winter products for some lighter products that will see you through the spring and summer months.

Spring skincare focuses on hydration, exfoliation, and sun protection to achieve a healthy and radiant complexion. As we hit the warmer months SPF is critical!

Of course, you want to wear sunscreen every day no matter the season, but it’s especially important when you’re spending extra time outside. Hyaluronic acid is a staple during this time, to ensure a smooth transition from cooler to warmer weather and can be layered underneath other serums both in the morning and evening to assist with regulation of sebum production. It activates the regenerative processes in the skin with strong antioxidant properties. Low molecular weight Hyaluronic Acid and Betaine help restore the skin’s moisture balance and increase elasticity. This premium moisturiser is recommended for most anti-ageing treatments.

Morning Skincare Routine:

Cleansing – If you have been using a heavier oil cleanser during the winter months, you may want to try a lighter cleanser that does not dry out your skin and save your oil cleanse for night when needed.  Start the day by cleansing the skin to remove any impurities that may have accumulated overnight. Choose for a gentle, hydrating cleanser that won’t strip away natural oils.

Serum / Essence

Vitamin C – great for use during the day for brightening and repair – improving fine lines, pigmentation etc. If you need some added moisture, you can layer a moisturiser or beauty oil over the top of this for day, but sometime this might be enough.

Good quality antioxidants in the morning, to shield your skin from pollutants, sun, and environmental exposure, is another must for the season (alongside daily SPF).

Moisturisers – Hydrate the skin with a moisturiser tailored to your skin type. In the spring, switch to a lighter formula that provides hydration without feeling heavy or greasy. Consider moisturisers infused with hyaluronic acid for added plumping and moisture retention.

Evening Routine – Start your evening routine with a double cleanse to thoroughly remove sunscreen, makeup, and any accumulated dirt and oil. Begin with an oil-based cleanser to dissolve impurities, followed by a gentle foaming or cream cleanser to cleanse the skin.
